Our client, is a unique broadcaster, they are looking for a versatile broadcast engineer, with a background in end to end broadcasting from content creation through to distribution. They broadcast across the globe and perform an important function in sometimes, very difficult surroundings. There will be some international travel with this position and a full UK driving licence is required. You will have a good grounding in electronics and hold either an electrical or electronic qualification and have worked in broadcast engineering for 3 years and have experience with both TV and radio technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience of radio studio systems and/or radio, television or Vsat transmission, and be prepared to develop their skills to cover all aspects of the broadcast chain, from the Studio to the audiences home. Additionally, experience of project management would be an advantage. They do not expect any candidate to have the complete set of skills, so if you have a good grounding in broadcast engineering they will provide professional and personal development training to enable you to acquire the necessary skill set |

MCR Operations Support Engineer |

Our client is a world leader in the broadcasting of sport over digital media, they are looking for a MCR Operations Support Engineer with experience of the broadcast industry, ideally with knowledge of satellite communication systems and internet technologies, it is essential that you have at least 1 years experience in Master Control Room (MCR) operations, video and baseband equipment. You must be able to work shifts, which will include weekends, public holidays and overnights. Your key responsibilities will be as follows:
Monitor all key systems using tools provided and follow procedures when issues arise
Monitor all live events and follow procedures when issues arise. Quality control and integrity checks of all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals.
Operating master router switcher and ensuring in-house clients requirements are met. This includes correct configuration and operation of equipment in the MCR.
Booking and operation of third party services e.g. space segments, terrestrial circuits etc
Reporting service details to customers
Answer technical support queries from clients and customers in accordance with company policies and procedures
Escalate issues in line with policies and procedures and maintain ownership of issues through to their resolution
Document and log issues and their oversee their resolution
Ensure that appropriate support processes and procedures in are in place and adhered to
Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager
