| Description | Our client is a West London based shopping channel, they have seen huge growth over the last couple of years and are looking to strengthen there engineering team. They are looking to recruit a Broadcast Engineer to work in a team of 5 on a shift basis; with a minimum of 3years experience of maintaining a broadcast facility. They are looking for someone that can provide technical support to all staff and departments involved in the broadcasting for the channels to ensure channel output is consistent and of the highest quality.
Key responsibilities
Maintain all broadcast systems, equipment and infrastructure from VTR's to IT based systems
Perform preventative maintenance routines.
Respond to problems in a prompt manner, sensitive to live television requirements
To keep accurate records and logs of maintenance work and checks
Be aware daily of status of all Broadcast equipment
Communicate effectively with Head of department, fellow engineers and other staff
Work to a 365 day shift roster, currently 0600-1700 and 1330 to 0130. Variable according to business requirements
Develop and improve broadcast systems
Create and maintain technical schematics and technical documentation and procedures
They are looking for someone with a methodical approach to work that is able to hit deadlines, you will have a thorough knowledge of broadcast technical standards and have a varied knowledge of broadcast skills in areas such as cameras, lighting routers as well as Servers, playout automation.
