Free For Candidates?
At JobsInBroadcast we don’t charge candidates for the service. We never will!! Why is this? Well put simply, we don’t think its right to charge people who are out of work, a fee to get them into work!! Quite apart from anything else, the various recruitment industry regulations pretty much preclude this (see “The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003”). But most of all, we think its wrong!

Now many broadcast jobs sites do charge for these services and the employers and agencies are having a grand old time getting the candidates to do their recruitment for them and charging them for the privilege!!

We currently have a difficult time getting agencies to pay for the JobsInBroadcast service. This is partly because they can get a free service elsewhere and partly because JobsInBroadcast just isn’t big enough yet. We will continue to offer free advertising to employers and agencies until such time as we are happy with the service the site offers. This means that candidates are getting a great free resource at our expense!

So why are we doing this? We believe that once candidates are aware of this free service, they will use it in preference to the pay per month variety, but only if they can find quality jobs here. Once we have enough volume, we will be able to start charging the employers and agencies.

So that means we need your support before we can start changing things. If you have friends who are in the Broadcast Media industry, why not introduce them to us. If you are actively looking for a job, check with us first, its free, so what have you got to lose.

We are trying to avoid advertising as well. This is not so much because we are against advertising, we just think it devalues the service. We may use advertising panels in the future but our preference is not to if we can help it.
